Θάναι μόλις είκοσι δυο ετών.
Κι όμως εγώ είμαι βέβαιος που, σχεδόν τα ίσα
χρόνια προτήτερα, το ίδιο σώμα αυτό το απήλαυσα.

Δεν είναι διόλου έξαψις ερωτισμού.
Και μοναχά προ ολίγου μπήκα στο καζίνο.
δεν είχα ούτε ώρα για να πιώ πολύ.
Το ίδιο σώμα εγώ το απήλαυσα.

Κι αν δεν θυμούμαι, πού — ένα ξέχασμά μου δεν σημαίνει.

A τώρα, να, που κάθησε στο διπλανό τραπέζι
γνωρίζω κάθε κίνησι που κάμνει — κι απ’ τα ρούχα κάτω
γυμνά τ’ αγαπημένα μέλη ξαναβλέπω.

Il doit avoir tout juste vingt deux ans.
Mais je suis sûr qu'il y a presque le même
Nombre d'années, ce corps-là, je l'ai bien aimé.

Ce n'est pas du tout une excitation érotique,
Et je suis entré au casino seulement il y a peu ;
Je n'ai pas eu le temps de boire beaucoup.
Ce corps-là, je l'ai bien aimé.

Et si je ne me souviens pas où -- un oubli ne sgnifie grand chose.

À présent, qu'il est assis à la table d'à côté
Je reconnais chaque mouvement qu'il fait -- et sous ses vêtements
Je revois ses membres bien-aimés nus.
