Coplas del pastor enamorado
Language: Spanish (Español)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Verdes riberas amenas,
Frescos y floridos valles,
Aguas puras, cristalinas,
Altos montes de quien nacen.

Guiadme por vuestras sendas,
Y permitidme que halle
Esta prenda que perdí,
Y me cuesta amor tan grande.
Llevo, teñidas en sangre,
Las abarcas y las manos,
Rotas de apartar jarales;
De dormir sobre la arena
De aquella desierta margen,
Traigo enhetrado el cabello.
Y cuando el aurora sale,
Mojado por el rocío
Que por mi cabeza esparcen
Las nubes que del sol huyen,
Humedeciendo los aires.

Verdes riberas amenas,
Frescos y floridos valles,
Aguas puras, cristalinas,
Altos montes de quien nacen.

Couplets du berger amoureux
Language: French (Français)  after the Spanish (Español)
Rives verdoyantes et agréables,
Vallées fraîches et fleuries,
Eaux pures, cristallines,
Hautes montagnes où elles naissent.

Guidez-moi par vos chemins,
Et permettez-moi de trouver
Ce joyau que j'ai perdu,
Et pour lequel j'éprouve tant d'amour.
Je porte, tachées de sang,
Mes sandales et mes mains,
Déchirées d'écarter les cistes ;
De dormir sur le sable
De cette rive déserte,
Mes cheveux sont emmêlés,
Et quand l'aurore vient,
Mouillés par la rosée,
Qui est déposée sur ma tête
Par les nuages qui fuient le soleil,
Humidifiant l'air.

Rives verdoyantes et agréables,
Vallées fraîches et fleuries,
Eaux pures, cristallines,
Hautes montagnes où elles naissent.
