3. Drum Herr, so sollen Dir auch nun All' deine Werke danken; Voraus die Heil'gen, deren Thun Sich hält in deinen Schranken; Die sollen deines Reichs Gewalt Und unvergängliche Gestalt Mit tausend Zungen rühmen! 4. 11. Dieß Alles, und was sonsten mehr Lob, Dank und Preis kann bringen, Das soll mein Mund, zu Ruhm und Ehr' Des Höchsten, täglich singen, Und also thu' auch immerfort, Was lebt und webt an jedem Ort! Das wird Gott wohlgefallen.
Part of the eighth stanza is quoted by Josephine Lang in Die Augen der Blinden werden aus dem Dunkel und Finsterniss sehen

Who is as merciful, Lord, as Thou? Who can be so patient? Who can with such forbearance look upon So many heavy transgressions, Which from the great wide world Without ceasing rise up to The firmament of Heaven? 2. It must be a faithful heart That can love us so loftily, Since we all, great and small, Do many evil deeds! God can be nothing but good, The flood of His goodness therefore flows Upon all of His works. 3. Thus Lord, so should too now All of Thy creations thank Thee; The saints before all others, whose acts Remain within Thy boundaries; They shall the power of Thy kingdom And its everlasting being Praise with a thousand tongues! 4. They shall praise in order that Thy glory Resound through all the world, That everyone may bring servitude and offerings To Thee at the shrine. Thy kingdom is an eternal kingdom, The sovereignty of which is equal to Thee, For Thou never comest to an end. 5. The Lord is until our death Constantly beside us all. He lightens the burden of the cross we bear, And holds us when we fall; He forestalls many a misfortune, And kindly helps us up again When we are cast down. 6. Lord, all eyes are turned Toward Thee and Thy throne, For it is surely Thou, who nourishest Everything here with fatherly care. Thou openest Thy mild Hand, Makest glad and replete every creature that lives On land, in the sea and in the air. 7. Thou meanest well, and treatest us kindly, Even when we often do not realize it. Many a person is of downcast spirit, His heart consumed with grieving! He worries and is anxious day and night That God is completely disregarding him, And has forgotten him. 8. Nay, God does not forget His own! He keeps [His] covenant and keeps faith with us; In the light of heaven, His heart is ever devising Ways of delighting us still. Even though it at times what happens is beyond our comprehension, He is eternally holy [and] Righteous in His pathways. 9. The Lord is near, and always prepared [To answer] everyone who honours Him, And who beseeches Him in earnest Shall surely receive an answer. God knows well who is loving and faithful to Him; And such a person shall receive His glorious support In all of his tribulations. 10. To the pious nothing is denied, God does what they desire; He knows the misfortune that afflicts them, And counts every one of their tears; In the end he relieves their burden. But over him who worries and hates them, He shall speak a judgement. 11. All of this, and whatever else Can express praise, thanksgiving, and glory, That shall my lips, to the renown and honour Of the Highest, daily sing. And thus should do in perpetuity What lives and moves everywhere! That shall please God.
