Das Wiedersehen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT ENG FRE
Da schon die Sonne sich verbarg
Und in die fahlen Berge sank,
Der rauhe Wind im gelben Park
Mit Laub bedeckte Weg und Bank,
Da sah ich dich und sahst du mich;
Du rittest still dein dunkles Roß
Und rittest still und feierlich
Durch Wind und Blätterfall zum Schloß.
Das war ein traurig Wiedersehn:
Du rittest blaß und langsam fort,
Ich blieb am hohen Gitter stehn,
Es dunkelte, und keines sprach ein Wort.

Les retrouvailles
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Alors que déjà le soleil se voilait
Et s'abîmait dans les montagnes blafardes,
Que dans le parc le vent âpre
Recouvrait de feuilles sentiers et bancs,
Alors je te vis et tu me vis ;
Tu montais en silence ton alezan foncé
Et tu chevauchais, calme et hiératique,
Dans le vent et la chute des feuilles, vers le château.
C'étaient de tristes retrouvailles :
Blême, tu poursuivis ta course lentement,
Je restai planté à la haute grille,
La nuit tombait et personne ne dit mot.
