Mitt hjarta har vore i livsens strid
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Our translations:  FRE
Mitt hjarta [har vore i livsens]1 strid,
og mangt eit sår hev det [fengi]2;
det låg sjukt og sårt i so mang ei rid,
men endå [har det]3 til denne tid
frå leiken med livet [gjengi]4.

Men ær på ær etter sår på sår
der er på kvar [einaste]5 sida,
og upp dei brjota kvar evig vår,
når lauvet spretter og isen går
og gauken gjeler i lida.

Men blomar bløma i desse ær,
og blømande blom er tåret.
Det soleis også med jordi er:
når regn og dogg ho frå himlen fær,
so veksa blomar i såret.
