Die Sonne mag verscheinen,
Die Wolke nicht mehr weinen,
Die Flamme mag versprühn,
Der Frühling nicht mehr blühn!
Wir wollen uns umwinden
Und immer so empfinden;

Zowaar de bliksem slaat,
Zowaar er wind soms staat,
Zowaar voeld' ik mij warmen,

De zon kan soms verdwijnen,
De golven niet meer deinen,
De bliksem kan vergaan,
