Zowaar de bliksem slaat,
Zowaar er wind soms staat,
Zowaar voeld' ik mij warmen,
Toen 'k jou hield in mijn armen:
Jij mint mij, als ik jou,
Wij minnen elkaar trouw.
 
De zon kan soms verdwijnen,
De golven niet meer deinen,
De bliksem kan vergaan,
En wind er soms niet staan!
Geklemd in elkaars armen
