Alla mina luftslott ha smultit som snö, 
alla mina drömmar ha runnit som vatten, 
av allt vad jag älskat har jag endast kvar 
en blå himmel och några bleka stjärnor. 
Vinden rör sig sakta mellan träden. 
Tomheten vilar. Vattnet är tyst. 
Den gamla granen står vaken och tänker 
på det vita molnet, han i drömmen kysst.

Printemps nordique

Tous mes châteaux en Espagne ont fondu comme de la neige,
tous mes rêves se sont écoulés comme de l'eau,
de tout ce que j'ai aimé, il ne me reste plus
qu'un ciel bleu et quelques étoiles blafardes.
Le vent bouge doucement parmi les arbres.
Le vide s'installe. L'eau est silencieuse.
Le vieux sapin veillent debout et pense
au nuage blanc qu'il a embrassé en rêve.
