Minns du ett vemodsken från himlens ovanskliga stjärnor?
Ack, åt förgängelsens lott skatta de äfven till slut.
Minns du en tystnad, då allt var som sänkt i oändlighetsträngtan, 
stränder och himmel och hav, allt som i aning om Gud?

Hélas, à la fin leur lot sera quand même l'anéantissement.
Te rappelles-tu ce silence, quand tout était comme plongé dans un ardent désir d'infinité,
rivages, ciel et mer, comme si tout pressentait Dieu ?
