Greetings to you, soughing of the forest, Golden-green twilight air! I wish to listen to the blowing of the wind, To bathe in the scent of the flowers. To listen to the murmuring of the brook, Which, hidden in foliage and reeds, Leaping over colourful pebbles, Teases the flowers along its banks. I wish to lie upon the moss, Rocked to sleep in the forest’s peace, But my thoughts fly Into the valley toward my beloved.
