Evening Hymn

O gladsome Light,
O Grace Of God the Father's face,
The eternal spendour wearing;

Celestial holy, blest,
Our Saviour, Jesus Christ,
Joyful, joyful in Thine appearing:

Now ere day fadeth quite,
We see the evening light,
Our wonted hymn outpouring;

Father of might unknown,
Thee, His incarnate Son,
And Holy Spirit adoring.

To Thee of right belongs
All praise of holy songs,
O Son of God, Lifegiver;

Thee, therefore, O Most High,
The world doth glorify,
And shall exalt for ever.

Oh gracia de Dios, rostro del Padre,
que brilla en eterno resplandor;

Celestial santo, bendito,
Salvador nuestro, Jesucristo
Alegre, alegre en Tu apariencia:

Ahora antes de que el día se vaya,
vemos la luz del atardecer
nuestro maravilloso himno derramado;

Padre de poder desconocido
Tú, su hijo encarnado,
Y el Espíritu Santo adorando.

Tuyo es el derecho,
la alabanza de las santas canciones,
Oh Hijo de Dios, dador de vida;

Por todo esto, oh Altísimo,
El mundo te glorifica,
y exaltará para siempre.
