She is slim, dark and slender with dark and distinct features. Her grey eyes are deep set, her manner quiet and dreamlike. It's almost as if she seems to be in a trance. In her movements and speech, she is quiet and calm. Under her low forehead the eyes are veiled. They could almost be gazing deep into a far distant world. She takes her seat at the fireside bench. Scarcely knowing what she is doing, she takes up a milk jug, and sits there quietly, deep in thought. Her breath is rapid and heavy, her lips faintly trembling, A quavering slip of a girl, but young and fair.
