Nun ist der Sommer gekommen, Kirschen sind reif im Garten; Es geh'n auf kurvigen Pfaden Füße, die seidenzarten. Seide hab' ich mir gesponnen jung und froh, möcht' mich zeigen, Seide vom Kopf zu den Füßen - weiß nicht, wohin ich soll steigen; Liebe die teuren Steine, Liebe die gold'nen Spangen; Goldlack und ich, wir mögen trotz uns'rer Armut prangen. Ich bin ans Haus gebunden, sicher vor tückischen Schlangen, hätte so gern einen kleinen Plausch mit den and'ren Gefang'nen. Nun ist der Sommer gekommen, Reif sind die Früchte alle. Sommer, der hat seine Stürme, Früchte zu Boden nun fallen. Oh, welche schlimmen Gedanken. Wind muß vertreiben die Not, Ja, und so endet die Weise Da kommt des Schloßherren Bot'!
