Come, little girls and boys, come, all the little girls and boys. Our songs will echo the song of the lark. Hurry along from near and far. They have cut the flowering grass. There are haystacks everywhere in the fields. In the paths, in the furrows, gather every blade of grass. The sun's hot rays put gold in each tuft! How eager the arms, how joyful the hearts! Do you smell the sweet odour rising to us from the damp plain? And tonight the little girls and boys will dance and sing around a haystack!
