Royalty
Language: English  after the French (Français)
One fine morning, in the land of a very gentle people, a magnificent man
and woman cried in the public square,
"Friends, I want her to be queen!"
"I want to be queen!" She laughed and trembled.
He spoke of revelation, of a trial finished.
They swooned against each other.
Indeed, they were kings for a whole morning,
while the scarlet awnings were raised on the houses,
and all one afternoon, while they advanced
toward the palm gardens.
