Auf den Höh'n Ruhe und Frieden im Thale
  Träumt die Natur lieblichen Traum.
Leis' zu einand' im Wehen der Lüfte
  Lispeln die Zweige hörbar kaum.

In blauer Ferne rauschen die Wälder,
  Leis' bebt das Laub im Kusse der Luft;
Hin in den Äther schwinden die Träume,
  Die holde Nacht in die Seele uns ruft.

There is rest upon the heights and peace in the valley,
  Nature is dreaming a lovely dream.
In the blowing of the breezes the branches
  Whisper quietly to one another almost inaudibly.

The woods sough in the blue distance,
  The foliage trembles quietly in the kiss of the breeze;
Dreams vanish away into the aether,
  The lovely night calls into our souls.
