Soon everything shall smile sunnily upon you, If only your blood flows briskly; Downwards, upwards Upon every path, You are in God's care, And always yet In the loveliest place, A bold spirit has rested. Only [see to it that] you bring a song To the green forest in its quiet depths, Harken, how soon It echoes back to you With bright joy from all around, And with every step you take The birdlets all Sing along in solidarity! He who carries a glow deep within his heart, May be blithe his whole life long; Year-in, year-out In the brightest radiance, How everything resounds and grows green and blooms! Ask every day, Whatever may come, Only for a happy spirit!
