by (Carl Friedrich) Julius Altmann (1814 - 1873)

Morgenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie strahlt der gold'ne Morgen
In seiner lichten Pracht,
Wenn drüben überm Berge
Die Frühlingssonn' erwacht!

Rings feierliches Schweigen,
Ich fühl' ein sanftes Zieh'n,
Andächtig mich zu neigen
Und betend hinzuknie'n.

Ein Lüftchen fliegt vorüber,
Ich hab' es wohl gespürt,
Mir ist, als ob mich leise
Die Hand des Herrn berührt.

Confirmed with Urania. Musik-Zeitschrift für Alle, sechsundzwanzigster Jahrgang, ed. by Alexander Wilhelm Gottschalg, Erfurt: G. W. Körner's Verlag, 1869. Appears in issue no. 9, page 145.
