Ведь, если звезды зажигают -
значит - это кому-нибудь нужно?
Значит - кто-то хочет, чтобы они были?
Значит - кто-то называет эти плевочки жемчужиной?
И, надрываясь
в метелях полуденной пыли,
врывается к богу,
боится, что опоздал,
плачет,
целует ему жилистую руку,
просит -
чтоб обязательно была звезда! -
клянется -
не перенесет эту беззвездную муку!
А после
ходит тревожный,
но спокойный наружно.
Говорит кому-то:
ъВедь теперь тебе ничего?
Не страшно?
Да?!ъ
Послушайте!
Ведь, если звезды
зажигают -
значит - это кому-нибудь нужно?
Значит - это необходимо,
чтобы каждый вечер
над крышами
загоралась хоть одна звезда?!

En effet, étant donné que des étoiles brillent -
Cela veut dire - quelqu'un en a besoin ?
Cela veut dire - quelqu'un demande qu'elles le fassent ?
Cela veut dire - quelqu'un appelle ces postillons des perles ?
Et, excédé
dans la tempête de poussière de midi,
il fait irruption chez le Créateur,
il a peur d'être en retard,
il pleure,
il baise sa main noueuse,
il demande -
qu'il y ait nécessairement une étoile ! -
il promet -
il ne pourra pas supporter cette torture sans étoile !
Mais plus tard
il marche sans repos
pourtant calme extérieurement.
Il dit à quelqu'un :
"En effet, maintenant cela ne ne te fait rien ?
Ça ne fait plus peur ?
N'est-ce pas ?!"
Écoutez !
En effet, étant donné que des étoiles
brillent
Cela veut dire - quelqu'un en a besoin ?
Cela veut dire - qu'il est indispensable
Que chaque soir
Au-dessus des toits
S'allume au moins une étoile ?!
