Càlides, en l’obscura fresca del jardí, pengen fileres d’acolorits llums, des de l’embull del fullatge projecten una suau, misteriosa resplendor. Un d’ells somriu lluminós de color groc de llimona, els de color vermell i blanc riuen rabassuts, un de color blau sembla raure al brancam com una lluna i un esperit. De sobte, un d’ells s’encén en flames, estreba cap amunt, es crema de seguida... els seus germans s’estremeixen en silenci, somriuen, esperen la mort: el blau color de lluna, el groc color de vi, en vermell color de vellut.
