Traulich warmer Ampelschein.
Drin zwei Menschen, Hand in Hand,
Die ein heimlich Glück umspannt.
 
Leise, leise! Störe nicht.
Leben spinnt ein fein Gedicht.
Leicht verwehen Lied und Traum,
Geht ein Lüftchen überm Raum.

Quiet little chamber

Quiet little chamber
Cosy, warm gleaming of the lamp.
Inside two people, hand in hand,
Who are enveloped by a secret happiness.
 
Quietly, quietly!  Do not disturb [them].
Life is spinning a delicate poem.
Song/poem and dream are easily dispersed
If a little breeze passes over the place.
