Sie war ein Kind vor wenig Tagen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Sie war ein Kind vor wenig Tagen,
Sie ist es nicht mehr, wahrlich nein!
Bald ist die Blume aufgeschlagen,
Bald hüllt sie halb sich wieder ein.
Wen kann ich um das Wunder fragen?
Wie? Oder täuscht mich holder Schein?

Sie spricht so ganz mit Kindersinne,
So fromm ist ihrer Augen Spiel;
Doch großer Dinge werd' ich inne,
Ich schau in Tiefen ohne Ziel.
Ja! Wunder sind's der süßen Minne,
Die Minne hat der Wunder viel.

Merveille
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Elle était un enfant il y a quelques jours.
Elle ne l'est plus, vraiment plus !
Tantôt la fleur est éclose,
Tantôt elle se referme à demi.
Qui puis-je interroger sur cette merveille ?
Comment ? Suis-je dupé par une gracieuse apparence ?

Elle parle tout à fait comme une enfant,
Le jeu de son regard est si fervent ;
Mais je découvre de plus grandes choses,
Je contemple des profondeurs sans fin.
Oui ! Ce sont des merveilles du doux amour,
L'amour a tant de merveilles.
