Und ob der holde Tag vergangen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Und ob der holde Tag vergangen
Mit seiner frühlingshellen Pracht,
Der Blume wird es doch nicht bangen
Vor trüber, sternenloser Nacht.

Denn was von Strahlen sich ergossen,
Das webt in ihr den schönsten Traum;
Des Frühlings Wonne ruht verschlossen
In ihres Kelches duft'gem Raum.

So öffne dich, o Herz, der Liebe,
Schließ' ihre Strahlen in dich ein,
Dann wird's in Nächten bang und trübe
In deinem Innern Frühling sein.
