Les canetons se pavanent en chaussettes jaunes,

la mer y est bien calme.
À la queue leu leu.

Défais tes cheveux blonds et noue ta coiffe,
mon trésor.
Ainsi nous danserons dans la nuit de juin,
tiède et claire.
Attends, attends, à la Saint Jean
nous célébrerons nos noces avec de joyeuses danses.
