Warum soll ich denn wandern
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
Warum soll ich denn wandern
Mit andern gleichen Schritt?
Ich pass' nicht zu den andern
Und Liebchen geht nicht mit.
Man singt in tausend Weisen
Von Bergen, Felsenhöhn:
Allein warum noch reisen?
Die Heimat ist so schön.

Ich will ja alles glauben,
Was draußen wächst und blüht,
Das Gold der süßen Trauben,
Wie's Sonnenfunken sprüht.
Allein, der Trank der Reben,
Er kommt ja auch hierher,
Wo mir mein holdes Leben
Ihn reicht, was will ich mehr?

Ich geh nicht ins Gewimmel
Der großen, weiten Welt;
Den klarsten, blausten Himmel
Zeigt Liebchens Augenzelt.
Und mehr als Frühlingswonne
Verspricht ihr Lächeln mir,
O zarte, meine Sonne!
Ich wandre nicht von hier.

Ik ga niet weg
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Waarom moet ik gaan wand'len
Met and'ren in de maat?
Ik pas niet bij de and'ren,
Terwijl1 liefje ook niet gaat.
Men zingt op duizend wijzen
Van berg en rotspartij:
Alleen, waarom nog reizen?
Zo mooi is dit land van mij.

Ik wil het graag geloven,
Wat ginds al groeit en bloeit,
De wijngaard, zondoorstoven,
Die gouden vonken sproeit.
Alleen, de drank van druiven,
Die drink ik keer op keer;
Wanneer ik zo kan fuiven,
Hier thuis, wat wil ik meer?

Ik houd niet van gewemel,
De drukte zit mij hoog;
De klaarste, blauwste hemel
Vind 'k in mijn liefjes oog.
En meer dan lenteweelde
Geeft mij haar lach plezier.
O lief, ik rijk bedeelde,
Ik ga niet weg van hier!
