Drei Duettinen für Mezzosopran oder Tenor und Alt mit Begleitung des Pianoforte , opus 39

by Carl Friedrich Johann Girschner (1794 - 1860)

1. Wohl heute noch  [sung text not yet checked]

Er:
Wohl heute noch und morgen
bleib' ich so gern bei dir,
dann treiben mich die Sorgen,
die bösen, fort von hier!

Sie:
Wann kommst du aber wieder,
Herzallerliebster mein,
und brichst die roten Rosen
und trinkst den kühlen Wein?

Er:
Wann's schneiet rote Rosen,
wann's regnet kühlen Wein,
dann will ich mit dir kosen,
dann werd' ich bei dir sein!

Sie:
Wohl schneit es rote Rosen,
wohl regnet's kühlen Wein,
wenn zwei Herzallerliebste
so treu beisammen sein.1

2. Dein Bildniss wunderselig  [sung text not yet checked]

Dein Bildnis wunderselig
Hab ich im Herzensgrund,
Das sieht so frisch und fröhlich
Mich an zu jeder Stund'.

Mein Herz still in sich singet
Ein altes schönes Lied,
Das in die Luft sich schwinget
Und zu dir eilig zieht.

Authorship:

  • by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857), "Intermezzo", appears in Gedichte, in 2. Sängerleben [author's text checked 1 time against a primary source]
