Ja nun, nun steht in all seinem Glanz der Hag, Sankt Johannistag, Kuckuck! rings Baum und Busch steht im Sommerschmuck, die weise Birke, die Linde breit. Und kommst in den Wald hinein du weit, so wird dir zu Häupten mein Hochbaum stehn, und du wirst des Waldes Herrlichkeit sehn, da glitzert von Perlen des Thaues der Saal, im Moose stehn Blümenlein hold, der Mücken Gewand ist nicht grau und nicht fahl: Die Schwingen sind glänzend wie Gold, der Himmel ist licht, der Himmel ist blau, du sahest noch niemals so wonnige Schau.
