Im Grase thaut's, die Blumen träumen 
Von ihrem bunten Honigdieb,
Und oben flüstert's in den Bäumen:
Schläfst du? schläfst du, mein trautes Lieb? 
Der Mond scheint durch den grünen Wald.
 
Ein Aestlein wankt mit leisem Wiegen,
In dunkler Blätterheimlichkeit
Regt sich, ein Kosen, Schweben, Schmiegen: 
Dir treu, dir treu in Ewigkeit! 
Der Mond scheint durch den grünen Wald.

Nun wird es still in Luft und Zweigen,
Ein wonnig Athmen hebt die Brust,
Dich küßt die Nacht mit süßem Schweigen,
Ruh' aus, ruh' aus von Lieb' und Lust,
Der Mond scheint durch den grünen Wald.

en llurs acolorides lladres de mel,
i a dalt als arbres hom xiuxiueja:
Dorms? Dorms, amor meu estimat?
Brilla la lluna a través del bosc verd.

Una branqueta fluctua en un suau bressar,
en l’ombriu secret del fullam
un acaronament, una alenada, un atansament, es belluguen:
Et seré fidel, fidel per tota l’eternitat.
Brilla la lluna a través del bosc verd.

Adés, tot esdevé tranquil a l’aire i al brancam,
un delitós alè enlaira el pit,
la nit et besa amb un dolç silenci,
reposa, reposa de l’amor i la voluptat.

a través de l’herbam
i pensava en això
i pensava en l’altre
i llavors vaig sentir l’anar i venir de quelcom, --
Moixoni! Moixoni!
Darrere els matolls
un caçador em veié.

Em vaig ajupir,
vaig sotjar a través del fullatge
i volia fugir,
però era massa tard,
ensumant, el seu gos arribà al trot,
Moixoni! Moixoni!
Darrere els matolls
un caçador m’atrapà.

Ell em preguntà
per què m’amagava,
si ell m’espantava
i em feia por,
jo li vaig dir: oh no que jo sàpiga!
Moixoni! Moixoni!
Darrere els matolls –
Moixoni! Un caçador em besà.
