Language: German (Deutsch)
  Mit deinen blauen Augen
Siehst du mich [lieblich]1 an,
Da ward mir so träumend zu Sinne,

  An deinen blauen Augen
Gedenk' ich allerwärts: --
Ein Meer von blauen Gedanken
Ergießt sich über mein Herz.

1. Amb els teus ulls blaus
Language: Catalan (Català)
Amb els teus ulls blaus
em mires amb tant d'amor
i llavors com en un somni,
no puc parlar.

En els teus ulls blaus
penso per tot arreu:
un mar de blaus pensaments
es vessa sobre el meu cor.

2. Mir träumte von einem Königskind  [sung text not yet checked]
by Gerrit Jan van Eijken (1832 - 1879), "Mir träumte von einem Königskind", op. 7 (Drei Gedichte von Heine) no. 2 [ soprano or tenor and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mir [träumte]1 von einem Königskind,
Mit nassen, blassen Wangen;
Wir sassen unter der grünen Lind'
Und hielten uns liebeumfangen.

"Ich will nicht deines Vaters Thron,
Ich will nicht sein Scepter [von]2 Golde,
Ich will nicht seine demantene Kron',
Ich will dich selber, du Holde!"

Note: modern German would spell "Scepter" as "Zepter" (line 2-2).

1 Kern: "träumte einst"; further changes may exist not shown above.
2 Weiss: "aus"

by Heinrich Heine (1797 - 1856)
2. He somiat en la filla d'un rei
Language: Catalan (Català)
He somiat en la filla d'un rei,
amb galtes rellents, pàl·lides;
seiem sota el verd til·ler
i ens abraçàvem amorosament.

"No vull el tron del teu pare,
no vull el seu ceptre d'or,
no vull la seva corona de diamants,
només et vull a tu, estimada!"

Això no pot ser, ella em digué,
car jec a la tomba,
i només a les nits vinc cap a tu,
perquè t'estimo eternament.

by Gerrit Jan van Eijken (1832 - 1879), "Wenn ich in deine Augen seh'", op. 7 (Drei Gedichte von Heine) no. 3 [ soprano or tenor and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn ich in deine Augen [seh']1,
So schwindet [all' mein Leid]2 und Weh;
Doch wenn ich küße deinen Mund,
So werd' ich ganz und gar gesund.

Wenn ich mich lehn' an deine Brust,
Kommt's über mich wie Himmelslust;
Doch wenn du sprichst: ich liebe dich!
[So]3 muß ich weinen bitterlich.

3. Quan et miro als ulls
Language: Catalan (Català)
Quan et miro als ulls,
s'esvaeixen el meu dolor i sofrença;
amb tot, quan beso la teva boca,
esdevinc totalment sa.

Quan em recolzo en el teu pit,
em ve una mena de goig celestial;
però quan em dius: t'estimo!
Llavors he de plorar amargament.
