1. Pace non trovo
 (Sung text)
E volo sopra 'l cielo, e giaccio in terra;
E nulla stringo, e tutto 'l mondo abbraccio.

E non m'ancide Amor, e non mi sferra;
Nè mi vuol vivo, nè mi trahe d'impaccio.

Veggio senz'occhi; e non ho lingua e grido;
E bramo di perir, e cheggio aita;
Ed ho in odio me stesso, ed amo altrui.

Pascomi di dolor, piangendo rido,
Egualmente mi spiace morte e vita,
In questo stato son, Donna, per Voi.

Note: in the repetition of the final line, Liszt changes "Donna" to "O Laura".

1. Ramybės nerandu
Language: Lithuanian (Lietuvių kalba)
Ramybės nerandu, bet ir kariaut nenoriu,
Bijau, viliuosi ir degu, į ledą stingstu
Į dangų vėl skrendu ir žemėn smingu,
Tai nieko nejuntu arba apglėbt pasaulį puolu.

Įkalina mane, kas niekad neišlaisvins,
Šalia savęs laikys arba užtrauks man kilpą.
Ši meilė anei žudo, anei laisvę teikia,
Nenori kad gyvenčiau, bet kliūčių nepaiso.

Aš be akių matau, šaukiu aš be liežuvio,
Ilgiuosi aš kančios, bet ir pagalbos noriu,
Nekęsdamas degu ir kitą myliu.

Skausmu aš maitinuos ir verkdamas šypsausi,
Vienodai man patinka būt gyvam ar mirti.
Dėl Jūsų toks esu, brangioji ponia.

2. Benedetto sia 'l giorno
 (Sung text)
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Benedetto sia 'l giorno, e 'l mese, e l'anno,
E la stagione, e 'l tempo, e l'ora, e 'l punto
E 'l bel paese e 'l loco, ov'io fui giunto
Da'duo begli occhi che legato m'ànno;

2. Palaiminta tebus diena
Language: Lithuanian (Lietuvių kalba)
Palaiminta tebus diena, mėnuo ir metai,
Ir metų laikas, mirksnis, valanda, minutė,
Graži šalis, vieta, kur mano širdį kliudė
Mane pavergę dvi nuostabios akys.

Palaimintas saldus pirmasis jausmas,
Kai pajutau alsavimą Amūro
Ir lankas, ir strėlė mane kur kliudė,
Ir žaizdos lig širdies gelmių išpjautos.

Palaiminti balsai, kuriais daug kartų
Ištartas Lauros vardas suskambėti gali
Atodūsiai ir ašaros, ir aistros.

Palaiminti visi laiškų lapeliai
Kur liepsną aš savų minčių išlaisčiau
Vien apie ją, kitų ten būt negali.

3. I' vidi in terra angelici costumi
 (Sung text)
Language: Italian (Italiano)
I' vidi in terra angelici costumi,
E celesti bellezze al mondo sole;

Ch'han fatto mille volte invidia al sole;
Ed udì' sospirando dir parole
Che farian gir i monti, e stare i fiumi.

Amor! senno! valor, pietate, e doglia

Ed era 'l cielo all'armonia s'intento
Tanta dolcezza avea pien l'aer e 'l vento.
