Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Gamle Norig, nørdst i Grendom,
er vaart eiget Ættarland.
Der er Hav, som heilt aat Endom
leikar um den lange Strand;
Der er Vikar og Votn og Øyar,
tusund Fjordar og tusund Fjell,
Snøydor, der sjeldan Snjoen tøyar,
Dalar, der Fossen diger fell.

Leid er vel den lange Vetter,
endaa grøn vaar Granskog stend,
og naar Lauv i Lidom spretter,
fagre Liter fær vaar Grend.
Store Dagar og stutta Næter
lida lett um den ljose Jord;
Strand og Fjord og Fjell og Sæter
skiner av Sol fraa Sud og Nord.

Born av deim, som bygde Landet,
er paa Tuftom endaa til;
Garden stend i gamle Standet,
bygd og bøtt som Bonden vil.
Van til Møda, meir en til Kjæla,
leikar Lyden paa Land og Sjo.
Giv han sitje med Sømd og Sæla
trutt paa Tuftom i Trygd og Ro!
