Hafiz
 (Sung text for setting by F. Ritter)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Persian (Farsi)
  Nicht mit trister Miene,
Noch mit Thränentrübe
Komm zu meinem Grabe;
Komm mit einem Becher,
Komm mit einem Liede,
Angestimmt aus jubelvoller Brust!
Steigen aus dem Duft
Wird der alte Zecher,
Trinken aus dem Becher,
Stimmen in dein Lied ein,
Sich im Tanze heben,
Springen hoch vor Lust.
