by Bible or other Sacred Texts
Translation by Martin Luther (1483 - 1546)

Psalmus 35 (36)
Language: Latin
[ ... ]
 Domine, in cælo misericordia tua,
et veritas tua usque ad nubes.
 Justitia tua sicut montes Dei;
   judicia tua abyssus multa.
   Homines et jumenta salvabis, Domine,
 quemadmodum multiplicasti misericordiam tuam, Deus.
Filii autem hominum in tegmine alarum tuarum sperabunt.
 Inebriabuntur ab ubertate domus tuæ,
et torrente voluptatis tuæ potabis eos:
quoniam apud te est fons vitæ,
et in lumine tuo videbimus lumen.

(Sung text for setting by W. Schreiter)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Latin
 ...
 ...

Composition:

Set to music by Winfried Schreiter (b. 1930), "Herr, deine Güte reicht so weit der Himmel ist", 1999, lines 6-10 [ four- or five-voice chorus ], motet
