We honour the Sublime One, the First One, the Father of Creation -
He to whom we address our psalms
although the Wonderful One
is inexpressible and unimaginable!
A flame from the altar by the throne
is ignited in our souls.
We rejoice with heavenly joy,
that we exist and can be so amazed by Him.
We honour him at the edge of the graves here,
even though at the last step of his throne
the archangel has thrown down his crown
and sings his song of praise and bliss!
We honor, thank and praise the Sublime One, the First One -
He who has no beginning and no end,
He who gave even the inhabitants of dust
immortality!
