Wir ziehen mit Jubeln und Singen hinaus
See original
Wir ziehen mit Jubeln
Und Singen hinaus,
Wir ziehen schon früh
In die Welt hinaus.
In Wäldern und Feldern,
Am lustigen Bach,
Da gehen wir eifrig
Den Blumen nach.
Und sinket die Sonne,
So geht es nach Haus',
Beladen mit Kränzen
Und blühendem Strauss.
O kauft unsre Blumen
Zu Fest und zu Tanz,
Kauft Primeln und Veilchen,
Maiglöckchen zum Kranz!

We head out with rejoicing
And singing,
We head out early already
Out into the world.
In the woods and the fields,
Along the merry brook,
There we eagerly
Search for flowers.
And when the sun goes down,
Then we head home,
Laden with wreaths
And blooming bouquets.
Oh, buy our flowers
For festivals and dances,
Buy primulas and violets,
Lilies of the valley for your wreath!
