Es fiel ein Thau vom Himmel himmlisch mild,
Der alle Pflanzen bis zur Wurzel stillt;
   Laß dein Sehnen,
   Laß die Thränen!
Es fiel ein Thau der alles Dürsten stillt.

Ein sanftes Sausen kommt aus hoher Luft,
Still grünt das Thal und steht in Veilchenduft;
   Göttlich Leben
   Fühl' ich weben,
 ... .

Wie Engelsflügel blitzt es über Land;
Nun schmück' dich Herz, thu an ein rein Gewand! 
  Sieh, die Sonne
  Steigt in Wonne,
Wie Engelsflügel blitzt es über Land.

Macht hoch das Thor! Der König ziehet ein,
Die Welt soll jung und lauter Friede sein;
  Streuet Palmen!
  Singet Psalmen!
Hosianna singt, der König ziehet ein.

Il tombe une douce rosée du ciel.

Une voix douce descend du ciel,
En silence la vallée verdit et le parfum des violettes se répand.
  Divine vie,
  Je me sens en mouvement.
Une voix douce descend du ciel.

Comme des ailes d'anges scintillent sur la terre ;
Maintenant pare ton cœur, la rosée tombe en une robe pure !
  Voyez, le soleil
  Se lève dans le bonheur,

Ouvrez grandes les portes ! Le Roi arrive,
Le monde doit être jeune et plein de paix.
  Jonchez le sol de palmes !
