Aux alentours si quelque fleur embaume,
  S'en embaumer ;

  L'eau murmurer ;
Ne pas sentir, tant que ce rêve dure,

All'orizzonte se fuma un tetto di stoppie, 
vederlo fumare, 
nei dintorni se qualche fiore spande profumo
farsene profumare.

Ma esistendo solo la profonda passione
che ci fa adorare,
senza alcuna preoccupazione delle difficoltà 
nel mondo, ignorarle;
E solo noi due dinanzi a tutto ciò che stanca,
