Sonntags am Rhein
(Sung text for setting by V. Lachner)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
  Des Sonntags in der Morgenstund',
Wie wandert's sich so schön
Am Rhein, wenn rings in weiter Rund'
Die Morgenglocken gehn!

Ein Schifflein zieht auf blauer Fluth,
Da singt's da jubelt's drein;
Du Schifflein, gelt, das fährt sich gut
In all die Lust hinein?

  Vom Dorfe hallet Orgelton,
Es tönt ein frommes Lied,
Andächtig dort die Procession
Aus der Kapelle zieht.

Und ernst in all die Herrlichkeit
Die Burg herniederschaut
Und spricht von alter, guter Zeit,
Die auf den Fels gebaut.

Das Alles beut der prächt'ge Rhein
An seinem Rebenstrand,
Und spiegelt recht im hellsten Schein
Das ganze Vaterland,

  Das fromme, treue Vaterland
In seiner vollen Pracht,
Mit Lust und Liedern allerhand
Vom lieben Gott bedacht.

Diumenges al Rin
(Sung text translation for setting by V. Lachner)
 See original
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Els diumenges de matinada
que bonic és passejar
a la vora del Rin, quan tot a l'entorn
sonen les campanes del matí!

Una barqueta avança per l'aigua blava,
a dintre s'hi canta i es gauba;
barqueta, digues, oi que dóna gust viatjar
amb tota aquesta alegrança?

Del vilatge ressona un orgue
tocant una cançó pietosa,
allà surt la processó
devotament de la capella.

I sever, amb tota la seva grandesa,
el castell esguarda cap baix
i parla del vell bon temps
quan fou construït damunt la roca.

Tot això acabala l'esplèndid Rin
a les seves ribes plenes de vinyes
i, en la llum més brillant, emmiralla amb raó
tota la pàtria.

La pàtria devota i fidel
en tota la seva glòria,
amb joies i cants de tota mena
per el bon Déu és contemplada.
