Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT DUT ENG FRE
Mit Lust tät ich ausreiten
durch einen grünen Wald,
Darin da hört ich singen,
drei Vögelein wohlgestalt.

So sein es nit drei Vögelein,
es sein drei Fräulein fein.
Soll mir das ein nit werden,
so gilt es das Leben mein.

Das erste heißet Ursulein,
Das andre Bärbelein
Das dritt hat keinen Namen,
Das soll des Jägers sein.

Er nahm sie bei den Händen,
Bei ihrer schneeweißen Hand,
Er führts des Walds ein Ende,
Da er ein Hüttlein fand.

Alegre cavalcava
(Sung text translation for setting by J. Brahms)
 See original
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Alegre cavalcava
a través d’una verda forest,
a dins vaig sentir cantar
tres ocellets ben formats.

No eren però tres ocellets
sinó tres belles donzelles.
Si una d’ells no serà meva
això em costarà la vida.

La primera es deia Úrsula,
la segona Bàrbara,
la tercera que no tenia nom,
havia de ser per al caçador.

Ell l’agafà per les mans,
per les seves mans blanques com la neu,
i la portà al marge del bosc
on ell trobà una petita cabana.
