Mitt hjarta
 (Sung text for setting by C. Sinding)
 See base text
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Our translations:  FRE
Mitt hjarta hev vore i livets strid,
og mangt eit sår hev det fenge;
det låg sjukt og sårt i so mang ei rid,
men endå det hev til denne tid
frå leiken med livet gjenge.

Men ær på ær etter sår på sår
der er på kvar einast sida,
og upp dei brjota kvar evig vår,
når lauvet spretter og isen går
og gauken gjeler i lida.

Men blomar bløma i desse ær,
og blømande blom er tåret.
Det soleis også med jordi er:
når regn og dogg ho frå himlen fær,
so veksa blomar i såret.
