Ewig ewig ewig braust das Meer . . . Und wir lagen in festverschloss'nem Haus ... geschmiegt Brust an Brust, dachten nicht mehr an das Meer, das ewig ewig ewig braust. Und ... schliefen ... ein. Da in der Nacht weckt mich das Weib zitternd mit aufgeriss'nem Auge: "Mann, Mann, siehdas Schiff, das kämpfende Schiff auf brausendem Meer?" Wir stoßen den Laden auf -- Das Meer . . . Ewig ewig ewig braust das Meer.
