Höstens dagar äro genomskinliga 
och målade på skogens gyllne grund... 
Höstens dagar le åt hela världen. 
Det är så skönt att somna utan önskan, 
mätt på blommorna och trött på grönskan, 
med vinets röda krans vid huvudgärden... 
Höstens dag har ingen längtan mer, 
dess fingrar äro obevekligt kalla, 
i sina drömmar överallt den ser, 
hur vita flingor oupphörligt falla...

Les jours d'automne sont transparents
et peints sur le fond doré de la forêt ...
Les jours d'automne sourient au monde entier.
Il est si délicieux de s'endormir sans désir,
repu de fleurs et fatigué de verdure,
avec une guirlande de vigne rouge à la tête du lit ...
Un jour d'automne n'a plus aucun désir,
ses doigts sont inexorablement froids,
dans ses rêves il voit partout
tomber sans cesse des flocons blancs ...
