Mon désir ne peut jamais comprendre ceci : Que maintenant de moi à toi plus aucun chemin ne mène, Que tu passes devant ma porte Dans des passages lointains, silencieux, inconnus. Que ton image pâlisse pour moi, Comme l'éclat du soleil, absorbé par la brume, Comme une image joyeuse d'un paysage, noyé Dans le miroir lisse d'étangs dans le calme du crépuscule. La pluie tombe. Les arbres fatigués gouttent. Comme des feuilles fanées, les nombreuses heures ensoleillées s'enfuient. Avec mon sort je ne suis pas encore réconcilié Ni avec ses profondeurs sombres et sans limite.
