Im Garten, heute Morgen, Als ich deinen Brief erbrach, Fand ich drin verborgen Ein Rosenblatt. Ein Rosenblatt, deinen Locken entsunken. Als ich es trunken mit den Lippen berührte, Kam ein Windhauch und entführte Den holden Gast. Nun segelt es lustig zu dir zurück, Gleich einer Krone trägt es mein Glück Auf tiefrotem Sammt -- und verblaßt.
