Zvëzdy merknut i gasnut. V ogne oblaka. Belyj par po lugam rasstilaetsja. Po zerkal'noj vode, po kudrjam loznjaka Ot zari alyj svet razlivaetsja. Dremlet čutkij kamyš. Tiš' — bezljud'e vokrug. Čut' primetna tropinka rosistaja. Kust zadeneš' plečom — na lico tebe vdrug S list'ev bryznet rosa serebristaja. Potjanul veterok, vodu morščit-rjabit. Proneslis' utki s šumom i skrylisja. Daleko-daleko kolokol'čik zvenit. Rybaki v šalaše probudilisja, Snjali seti s šestov, vësla k lodkam nesut… A vostok vsë gorit-razgoraetsja. Ptički solnyška ždut, ptički pesni pojut, I stoit sebe les, ulybaetsja. Vot i solnce vstaët, iz-za pašen blestit, Za morjami nočleg svoj pokinulo, Na polja, na luga, na makuški rakit Zolotymi potokami chlynulo. Edet pachar' s sochoj, edet -- pesnju poët; Po pleču molodcu vsë tjažëloe... Ne boli ty, duša! otdochni ot zabot! Zdravstvuj, solnce da utro vesëloe!
