Die Verschmähte

Komm ich längs der grünen [Weide]1,
Wo die kleinen Lämmer grasen,
Immer hör ich mir zu Leide
Eine helle Flöte blasen.

Und da hockt er morgenmunter
Auf umbuschtem Erlensitze,
Bläst sein leichtes Lied herunter,
Sich, den Schafen und dem Spitze.

Geh ich zehnmal hin und wieder,
Wird er zehnmal mich nicht sehen;
Und doch leuchtet rot mein Mieder,
Und die hellen Röcke wehen.

Unerhörte Liebesnöte
Jeden Tag und jede Stunde.
Läg doch statt der dummen Flöte
Ich einmal an seinem Munde!

Doch er kann den Mund nur spitzen,
Wenn es gilt, die Flöte blasen;
Nichts kann ihm das Blut erhitzen,
Als wenn Lämmer abseits grasen.

Und in diesen Tölpel muß ich,
Dumme Liese, mich vergucken.
Ach, wie fühl nach seinem Kuß ich
Meine Lippen jucken!

La menystinguda

Quan vaig al llarg de la verda prada,
on els xaiets pasturen,
sempre sento amb recança
tocar una flauta amb so viu.

I allà està ell a la gatzoneta, eixorivit,
en una verneda voltada de matolls,
toca la seva senzilla cançó
per a ell mateix, els xais i el puntal.

Si passo per davant deu vegades,
ell no em veu ni un sol cop
i per tant duc un cosset vermell,
les llampants faldilles ondegen.

Manca d’amor inaudita
cada dia i cada hora.
Si tan sols pogués jo estar a la seva boca
en lloc de l’estúpida flauta!

Però ell només pot agusar la boca,
quan es tracta de tocar la flauta;
res li pot encendre la sang
que no sigui els xais, pasturant massa lluny.

I d’aquest rústec, jo bleda Isabel,
m’he hagut d’enamorar.
Ai, com sentiria pruir els meus llavis
després del seu bes!
