Des de la terra, on el sol brilla i la lluna silent, on la rosada humiteja la tendra molsa i el cant en els verds camps habita; des de la dolça pàtria dels homes on el cel us enviava joiosos esguards, em porten aquí els més bells llaços, el propi amor em fa davallar. El meu plany ressona en el vostre; la joia s’ha envolat lluny d’aquí, però penseu en aquells dies, mireu enrere vers aquell món!
