Caro m' è 'l sonno, e più l'esser di sasso,
mentre che 'l danno e la vergogna dura:
Non veder, non sentir, m' è gran ventura;
però non mi destar, deh! parla basso.

dormir, fou esculpida per un Àngel,
d’aquesta pedra, i perquè dorm té vida:
desperta-la i, si no t’ho creus, et parlarà.
Michelangelo:
M’estimo molt el son i sent de pedra encara més,
mentre prevalguin la injúria i la vergonya:
no veure i no sentir, m’és gran ventura;
per això no em despertis, ai! parla fluixet.
