Narzeczony
Language: Polish (Polski)
Our translations:  FRE
Wiatr zaszumiał między krzewy,
Nie w czas, niewczas, koniu!
Nie w czas, chłopcze czarnobrewy,
Lecisz tu, po błoniu.

Czy nie widzisz tam nad lasem
Tego kruków stada?
Jak podleci, krąży czasem
I w las znów zapada?

Gdzieżeś, gdzieżeś, dziewczę, hoże?
Czemuż nie wybieży?
Jakże, jakże wybiec może,
Kiedy w grobie leży?

O, puszczajcie! Żal mnie tłoczy,
Niech zobaczę onę!
Czy konając piękne oczy
Zwróciła w mą stronę?

Gdy usłyszy me wołanie,
Płacz mój nad swą głową,
Może z trumny jeszcze wstanie,
Zacznie żyć na nowo!

Le fiancé
Language: French (Français)  after the Polish (Polski)
Le vent murmurait entre les arbustes,
Trop tard, trop tard, cheval !
Trop tard, barbe noire,
Tu arrives ici, à travers la prairie.

Ne peux-tu voir au-dessus de la forêt
Cette troupe de corbeaux ?
Comme ils volent en cercle parfois,
Et retombant dans la forêt à nouveau ?

Où es-tu, où es-tu, ma douce chérie ?
Pourquoi ne viens-tu pas m'accueillir ?
Comment, comment pourrait-elle venir,
Quand elle se trouve dans la tombe ?

Oh ! À terre ! Je suis accablé de chagrin,
Laissez-moi la voir.
Quand elle est morte, ses beaux yeux,
Les a-t-elle tournés vers moi ?

Quand elle m'entend appeler,
Pleurer au-dessus de sa tête,
Peut-être qu'elle va se lever du cercueil
Et commencer à vivre à nouveau !
