Confirmed with Gedichte von Friederich Schiller, Zweiter Theil, Zweite, verbesserte und vermehrte Auflage, Leipzig, 1805, bei Siegfried Lebrecht Crusius, pages 85-87.

First published in Anthologie auf das Jahr 1782, anonymously edited by Schiller with the fake publishing information "Gedrukt in der Buchdrukerei zu Tobolsko", actually published by Johann Benedict Metzler in Stuttgart. This poem (pages 19-21) has two more stanzas and differs in also some other ways from the final version, it was published with "Y." as the author's name.

Quan els teus dits senyoregen les tecles,
Laura, romanc, adés com una estàtua sense ànima,
adés com una ànima sense cos.
Tu regnes damunt la vida i la mort,
poderosa, com els milers de teixits nerviosos
que Filadèlfia estimula en les ànimes.

Aleshores, respectuosos, els ventijols remoregen 
més fluixet per escoltar-te;
aferrats en el cant
giravolten sense parar,
per inhalar l’esplet de goig,
com éssers escoltants es deturen.
Embruixadora! Els captives amb els sons
com a mi amb el teu esguard.

Harmonies commovedores es congrien,
en voluptuosa vehemència,
a les seves cordes, com serafins
acabats de néixer al cel;
tal com, enfugits del braç gegantí del caos,
encalçats per la tempesta de la creació, els sols
sorgiren espurnejants de la nit,
així brolla el poder màgic dels teus sons.
